My Design Style

My primary style focus as a graphic designer is geometric designs, patterns and other vector illustrations. My work is centered around the structure and precision of calculated technical designs.

Why I Chose Graphic Design

I previously studied a Bachelor of Psychology and Education, but after a few years I rediscovered my passion for design and decided to pursue a more creative outlet. I had always enjoyed the design process and wanted to experience it for myself.

What Influenced Me

In High School, I studied 3d Modelling for 4 years and completed an HSC Major Work on the subject.

Learning how to draw isometric, oblique, 3-point perspective and exploded view objects has been a major influence on my current design style.

My Motto

Though I primarily use a minimalist style, my designs are far from minimal.

By using carefully measured and structured geometric shapes in various sizes, I am able to create intricately complex compositions and sets of patterns using basic shapes.

Design Shaped Through Hobbies

For the past 7 or 8 years I have been collecting, assembling and painting the miniature tabletop wargame, Warhammer. Although, not directly linked to my design style as the models have their own unique identity, learning how to correctly and effectively use colour theory as well as mix paints to create alternative colours, has really helped broaden my design capabilities. I have learned how to use contrast, shadows/highlights and blending techniques to achieve striking and visually appealing results.

Furthermore, this hobby combined with my previous technical drawing experience from my 3D modelling course has aided in enhancing how I make my designs structured through the use of geometry, as well as making them stand out through the use of colour theory. In addition, I have retained my High School knowledge on 3D modelling and have proficient enough understanding to make unique and striking designs in programs such as Adobe Dimensions.
